Tour Training Program

What is a "Terminal" Athlete?

Every year in the United States and around the world there are thousands of athletes graduating from college. Most of these individuals have been involved in organized sports for a substantial portion of their lives, yet for the great majority of them (above 98%), graduation day signals an end to their athletic careers. Many athletes are not quite big enough physically or they lack some other quality for being drafted into the NBA, NFL, NHL, etc. They may have a debilitating injury which would prevent them from playing their own sport yet would not stop them from playing professional golf. There are also many great athletes who participate in sports that are not played professionally - like swimming, gymnastics and others.  Leaving college brings it all to a close.

The Problem With Golf

There are several reasons why you don't see any of these gifted "terminal" athletes turning to golf as a career alternative in professional sports. Through conventional teaching methods in golf, it normally takes a minimum of five to ten years to develop a professional level player, if it can be accomplished at all. These athletes are at a point in their lives where they usually need to begin earning a living. To embark on a five to ten year training program would be prohibitive both from a time and a financial standpoint. Another major problem is that great athletic skills have never been viewed as necessary or even helpful for golfers - and with good reason. Strength and leverage are both "two edged swords" in a golf swing. The bigger and stronger a golfer is, the more capable he/she is of inadvertently leveraging their swing-plane off path in the downswing. When this happens, the ball doesn't hit the dead center of the club-face at impact and it may go anywhere! A professional player at 5'11", 190 lbs., might hit a golf ball 270 yards into the left rough, where a man the size of Michael Jordan might hit it 310 yards, on the same line, but on top of someone's house, out of bounds. The point being that, the bigger and stronger one is, the greater the necessity for developing "physics perfect" mechanics so that the swing-plane is not constantly, or even occasionally, being violated.
Athlete's who have superior muscular strength compared to most of us, have a great instinct to use that available muscle when they learn to hit a golf ball. Rarely do any of them fully "grow out" of that tendency. Athletic ability - with the strength and leverage that normally accompany it - only becomes an advantage in golf when used in total compliance with the laws of motion.

What is GRAVITY GOLF®?

GRAVITY GOLF® is a name assigned by David Lee, golf professional/research scientist, to a technically superior way of powering the golf swing. Lee didn't invent the "Gravity" swing. What he did was identify and isolate it from among the four swing techniques currently being used by various professional players, and also unlocked the mysteries of exactly how it works. There are at least four techniques or power origins the body may use to create a golf swing. Of these four, the physics laws are very specific as to the best technique, even though historically there have been great players from each category.
The Gravity Golf® swing is the only technique of the four which does not turn some of the player's own strength back into his/her body. It is set into motion in the down-swing by gravity and has no applied muscular activity from the arms through impact. Of all the swing techniques, the "Gravity" swing is the only one which truly gives a powerful individual an advantage.
After twenty-five years of intense research, we now understand not only how a physics perfect swing works, but more importantly, how to "force feed" it into anyone. The way Gravity Golf® is taught, the learning process is not by trial and error. By practicing "perfectly," a player can be trained from a total beginner to an entry professional level (par or better) in as little as one year's time.

The special drills through which Gravity Golf® players train and practice, detect the most subtle swing flaws (even in world class golfers) and enable the player to eliminate them. The understanding of how a physics perfect swing works, and the technique with which to rapidly incorporate it into the body, create the first realistic opportunity in history for training "terminal," world class athletes, to play professional golf!

The GRAVITY GOLF®
Tour ProgramStudent

Beginning in 2001, universities around the country and the world will be canvassed for graduating "terminal" athletes who are interested in having careers as touring professional golfers. No prior golf experience will be required or even preferred. The program will be open to both male and female athletes. Each year six individuals will be selected for training. All applicants will be thoroughly screened for their athletic ability, intellect, marketability, and also for their record of handling pressure "under fire" in their own sport.
Every athlete selected for the program will be signed to a minimum five year contract with all training expenses and sponsorship funds guaranteed as they begin the competitive phase of their playing careers. No player will have financial worries while he/she participates in the program. The initial phase of the training will last for one year, at which time the players will begin competing at an entry professional level.
The initial year of training will be very intense both physically and mentally. The advantage of the Gravity Golf® tour program is in knowing how to train the highest quality skills into every player, in every phase of the game, from the putter to the driver. Beginning one's career with "perfect" swing mechanics saves years of agony. "What most players are searching for that they term "playing experience," is to find a set of swing mechanics that will hold up under pressure. Once you've trained yourself to hit the ball where you are looking, golf becomes a simple game, and playing experience comes easily. However, there is very little about hitting a golf ball correctly that is instinctive. Doing it properly is almost a totally "acquired" skill. Players who have an acute understanding of proper swing physics, and the discipline to develop them, have a huge advantage over other players."

How Can Your Company Participate in the GRAVITY GOLF® Tour Program?

The major purpose of this program is to demonstrate to all golfers of  the world that a major breakthrough about how to best learn to play golf, has been achieved. The technology of the GRAVITY GOLF® system is a legacy to this great game and will create a paradigm shift in the way golf is taught in the future.
It is the objective of GRAVITY GOLF®, Inc. to have each year's group of six players sponsored by a company or group of companies, who are interested in changing the future of the game. For more than five-hundred years, golfers have been brainwashed into believing that no one will ever "crack the code" on fully understanding the golf swing. However, and in fact, that code has been broken through the development of this system. Nonetheless, the concept needs visible validation for the world to become aware that a superior way to learn the game actually exists. The press will be invited to interview each class of six players and to monitor their progress as they go through the training.
Each sponsoring company will participate in the golf related earnings of the players for several years. Each sponsor will also have their company name associated with the program. The excitement that this endeavor will kindle for the future of golf learning will bring many kudos for everyone who is involved!
